Angry at human's intolerance, but mostly sad, his travels brought him to the old Menzies Castle in Scotland, which he won in a bet that night. Using his great mechanical espertise, he built the Institute for Mutant Education as a safe place for those who are newly discovering their powers, or have nowhere else to go.
